Our Guiding Light: Tārā
Tārā was born from the tears of Avaloketeshwara.
As he wept a lake for the suffering of the world,
a lotus bloomed, and from it, Tārā arose:
compassion made manifest.
Tārā, as the embodiment of compassion, wisdom and swift action, is the guiding light behind the Temple of Tārā. She arose to support sentient beings in the alleviation of suffering and the path to liberation.
As humanity navigates a time of profound change,
the call for feminine wisdom has never been louder.
The Temple of Tārā is a sanctuary for this awakening.

Sri Lanka is one of the oldest inhabited islands on earth, a land steeped in the energy of the Divine Mother. The Temple of Tārā is surrounded by mountains, tropical forest, butterflies, birdsong, and ancient trees holding the medicine of the land.
This island is home to living spiritual lineages, and rich wisdom traditions that continue to shape its cultural and devotional life.
The architecture of the Temple will be rooted in ancient wisdom and meticulous nature-guided craftsmanship: open pavilions, water gardens, meditation temples, and healing spaces designed in harmony with Vastu principles.
